A vacancy exists for 1 Parish Councillor on Selattyn and Gobowen Parish Council
Any person who would like to express an interest in being elected onto the Council by co-option should apply to the Parish Clerk in writing on or before the 29/06/18.
In your Expression of Interest please indicate why you would like to be a councillor and the skills that you will bring to the role. Co-option will take place at the Meeting of the Full Council on Wednesday 11th July.
To be qualified to be elected a member of a town/parish council, a person must be 18 years of age or over and a commonwealth citizen, a citizen of the Republic of Ireland, or a citizen of another member state of the European Community, and either:-
- a local government elector for the area of the parish; or
- he/she has during the whole of the twelve months preceding that day occupied as owner or tenant any land or other premises in the parish; or
- his/her principal or only place of work during that twelve months has been in that area; or
- he/she has during the whole of those twelve months resided either in the parish or within 4.8 kilometres of it.
